Marshall and Sons Fuel Oil, Inc. has been Montauk's oil provider since the 1930's. It is still owned and managed by the same family. We recently celebrated our 70th Anniversary.
Our fleet of modern oil delivery trucks make scheduled and emergency trips to keep our customers' homes warm and cozy. We back it up with a complete plumbing and heating installation and repair company (Prado Brothers). We are also licensed plumbers. We can install and maintain superior oil heating in all sizes and types of homes. And we can provide the latest technologies to make oil heat, which is already your best heating buy, even more cost-effective.
OUR SERVICES
As a fuel-oil provider we do our best to keep your tank full. You can either ask for AUTOMATIC DELIVERY, or become a WILL CALL customer.
AUTOMATIC DELIVERY
With AUTOMATIC DELIVERY, we automatically calculate your usage and make deliveries using state-of-the-art computer technology. We fill your tank to the top one time, and then are able to calculate your usage by seeing how much had to be added on the next delivery. This is computer-correlated with the actual outdoor temperature in East Hampton each day, to determine the rate of fuel consumption per "degree day." At this point our computerized delivery scheduling takes over, keeping your home warm.
WILL CALL DELIVERY
On WILL CALL accounts, you have to periodically check your fuel supply yourself by checking the gauge on your oil tank, or by using a calibrated "stick" to see how much is left in the tank. You then call us to arrange delivery.
PAYMENTS
Marshall and Sons has a number of payment options, including automatic charge to your credit card for fuel deliveries (we offer you discounts for this option), credit-balance accounts (discounts provided), COD delivery (some discounts may apply), and "balanced billing". SERVICE CONTRACTS
Oil heat systems require regular maintenance. We offer service contracts which protect against many (BUT NOT ALL) expenses incurred for maintenance and repairs. An annual contract includes one system cleaning each year, which by itself would cost about $125 - up. Normally, this cleaning includes necessary replacement of filters, lubrication, and vacuuming of the unit (not the chimney or pipes).
An annual Service contract will cost from $165 up, depending on system complexity and configuration. Please call our office for a quote on your system and for a copy. Please note that the service contract only covers certain specific items.
 AROUND-THE-CLOCK EMERGENCY SERVICE
Marshall and Sons, as a full-service heating oil company, is available 24 hours a day to resolve home heating emergencies and to provide clean, efficient heat. Although we obviously prefer to deliver fuel to our customers on a scheduled-route basis, we can provide fuel on short notice in the event of emergencies. We fill tanks prior to Real Estate closings, and in anticipation of severe weather. DISCOUNTS
Please call us for our daily oil base price. Remember that you may be eligible for additional discounts we offer for large deliveries, prepayment programs, or commercial users.
TAXES AND FEES
In addition to the Oil Price-per-Gallon, other fees and taxes will be added pursuant to law.
